Hey friends! In case you’ve missed it on the socials, we’re having a pig sale this weekend, Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 9am-5pm. These are pigs that we believe are “show pig” or livestock project quality & were all born & raised here on our farm, and our kids are picking their projects from these litters as well. Our family has put our blood, sweat (and I mean *a lot* of sweat this summer!), and tears into these litters & we’re excited to see them get put in the right hands. Whether it’s your first year to show or your last year to show, we think we’ve got a project for you!
We’ve got Chesters, Durocs, Crosses, and a litter of (green, but growing) Spots. Litters were born May-July. Some of these have already been started on a whip, and the Durocs & Cross litters have already been castrated.
Our barn opens at 9am & it’ll be first come first serve style, no bid board. Pigs will be sorted into pens depending on cost/quality. We’ll accept check, cash or Venmo. Receipts for your purchase will be emailed/mailed depending on your preference. Registration/papers for purebred pigs will follow later in the mail with regular processing times for NSR & CPS Swine. There may be a second sale depending on what/if any we have left, plus we have a fresh litter of Durocs that aren’t ready to go yet. If you’re interested in a feeder or want us to feed one out for custom processing, let us know. We’ve got them penned in a separate area & have confirmed processing dates in November & December. Per the norm, we’ll probably have a few show pigs available after showing wraps up for processing in January & February, too.
